		<description>Painful to watch....but of course...not remotely surprising to me. 

And while I suspect I will never have beer with the owner of this site....or play a round of golf with him.....at least he attempts to promote your industry in a way that goes beyond the &quot;cliches&quot; many of you have attached the ball and chain around your ankle with.  

Beyond just quoting my &quot;caveman cliche&quot;....this news story actually spent time finding stock footage of them!

 &quot;Cavemen&quot;...... busting big rocks into little rocks.....while &quot;The Beaver&quot; trades a base ball glove Eddie Haskel  probably stole from Wally. 

 UGGGGGGG!  Does this spin really truly surprise any of you????

How ironic that the most positive spin on the industry given... was from restaurant owner named Sharon May....a business owner...NOT a broker in the industry.

And yet her message was lost in this &quot;potluck dinner&quot; for the poor...  based on anchoring &quot;barter&quot; as a recession &quot;band aid.&quot;

The Barter  industry gets what it deserves....because the media simply plays the movie you people have handed them from day one.

The &quot;media&quot; continues to run and play the very same script this industry wrote, produced, directed, and starred in.... for the past 25 years or so.

Even the broker in the story.....couldn&#039;t help himself......as he anchored his very own business around &quot;this bad economy....&quot;

I will say it again.....this industry promotes itself as A STEP BACK IN TIME!

It&#039;s a sword you all will have to live and die by... as the times they be a changing!

The tired old catch phrases and cliches....need to get tossed in the fire place along with the chickens, goats, and the cavemen.

I promote barter as a step forward....in good times or bad.

I don&#039;t use tired, beat up cliches like &quot;conserve cash&quot;.....but rather.....

&quot;how would you like to take you and your wife on a trip to Belize for 25 cents on the dollar?&quot;

That&#039;s why I am able to get the type of &quot;BMW Drivers&quot; your industry gave up on. 

High end clients...often come with high end margins.....but based on this industry&#039;s current positioning.... they run away...because they don&#039;t want to be a part of a welfare case spin.

 Who can blame them? 

It&#039;s called REPOSITIONING.

I don&#039;t sell &quot;barter&quot;... I reposition it....and customize it for the bum on the street....the housewife....the movie star....or the CEO of a company. 

And for what ever reason....it then sells itself. How ironic, huh?

Does anyone see the difference? You people spend so much time promoting within.....you forget the reason people outside your inner circle BUY ANYTHING. That&#039;s marketing 101 basics.

If you don&#039;t like the &quot;movie&quot; the press reports every day about your industry......you should change the script. Because they wont be in bed with you when the economy turns....and even now.....you are driving away clients who could do big volume business with you......but wont...because they don&#039;t view this industry as &quot;positive&quot;.

They view it as a line at the food stamp counter....and believe me I speak to many of them. ...daily.

Your wrote a scrip that was designed to go after brick and mortars that life was beating up. True or not....that is the perception...and that is the reality.

The media is giving you..... what you gave them. Sad. Because Barter/Trade is so much more then what I see on the news every night.

It doe NOT have to be that way.

This industry leaves millions on the table every year.....because they refuse to step up and see the potential of the very own industry they&#039;ve presented to the masses..... the same way.... for far too long.

The world was once flat....or so they thought. It&#039;s ROUND!

The Cave Men are dead and buried. LET THEM STAY DEAD.

 Move forward...Barter.  Promote barter to the entrepreneurs who may not do business at your beloved 1234 Maple Street address...but they got money..and they will TRADE! 24/7....365!

Your industry is a gold mine....and YET MOST OF YOU use &quot;gold pans&quot; to mine kibbles and bits while leaving the mother lode to the rest of us....WHO FIGURED OUT SOMETHING YOU SHOULD HAVE FIGURED OUT LONG AGO.

You brokers......could literally crush this industry....if you simply woke up and had the wavos to reposition your product...and customize it in a way that it became AN OFFER THEY COULDN&#039;T REFUSE!

No cold calling. No appointment setting needed. Water in the desert positioning.....sells it self.
