Sheepherders Wagon Available for Trade

Very Rare, Complete sheep wagon from the 1800’s?  It is in great shape.
4 photos attached (not yet painted or fixed up.)
As you are probably well aware, if one of these rare wagons can be found, they are equipped
with a few comforts such as a mattress, lamp, curtains etc.,
and transformed into a charming and cozy guest cabin for visiting family, friends & grandchildren.
Then these one of a kind works of art sell for tens of thousands of dollars.

I  honestly don’t know what to ask for it.  I don’t want to give it away but I don’t want to ask so much that I won’t get an offer.  On line they are hard to find with this kind of running gear and wheels.  Most have been converted to automobile axles and rubber tires and tin roofs.  Not near as romantic or classy.   The most expensive one I’ve seen on line was $38,760?  But it appeared to be all fixed up and 100%.   I haven’t seen many for sale except for the rubber tire kind and they were around
$3 to $4,000.  So quite a broad range.  We’ll consider all offers. (I may be able to help with delivery?) I’ll be more than fair.  I do have a antiques dealer locally  that is considering it.  There are a lot of rich and famous types that have homes here so he throws some paint on and some new curtains etc. and sells them for about $20,000.  I haven’t heard from him in a week (I think he is waiting trying to make me think he is not interested).  I also have a party in Missoula Montana that is interested.  But the first offer that makes sense will get it.

  1. I am interested in your wago and have a number of things that might interest you that appear on your list. I am in the horse business and have some western art collectibles, one of which might really be of interest to you. It is a reproduction of the famous leather art carving called the Brush Popper. I have had the art piece valued at about $5000 and its in perfect condition, The original hangs in the Leather Art Museum in Ft Worth Tx. Send me your email address and I will send you some pictures.

  2. Did you sell/trade your sheep wagon?
I have one and would like to get some idea of what it is worth.
    Can you help?
    Thanks, Marshall
