In response to the throngs of crowds in shopping centers around the United States, the Houston Simplicity Network is sponsoring a barter and/or free shopping event called, “Buy Nothing Friday”. According to the press release, the event is free to the public. All that is required to participate can be contained in whatever you bring to barter with other participants. There will also be a free area, where nothing is required in return.
