If you are interested in participating in a Washington D.C. TimeBank, you are invited to attend the organizing meeting in the upcoming weeks.
What: Community Meeting to discuss the creation of a DC wide Time Bank
When: Sunday, June 6th from 1:30 – 3:00pm
Where: MLK Library, room A9, 901 G St. N.W.
At its most basic level, Time Banking is about spending an hour doing something for somebody in your community. That hour goes into the Time Bank as a Time Dollar. Then you have a Time Dollar to spend on having someone doing something for you. It’s a simple idea, but it has powerful ripple effects in building community connections.
Time Banking is a system that connects unmet needs with untapped resources. If you’re interested in starting a Time Bank in DC, join us in our planning meeting.
