Medical marijuana caregivers are embracing the new economy in a new and exciting way to those cash-strapped patients who need it for their glaucoma or bipolar disorder. According to a story in the Denver Channel.com, barter is the new word of choice among providers.
In one ad, a poster who is identified as a licensed medical marijuana patient offers a weight bench in exchange for medical marijuana. Another ad, posted by someone claiming to be a licensed caregiver reads: “You need medical marijuana, I need a riding lawn mower,” and offers to trade medical pot to a licensed patient willing to give up a mower.
Apparently business is suffering in the legal dope sales game too…
I don’t know if it would be a good idea for an exchange in Colorado to get in on this action or not.
